US colorful – the American flag patch

There it is: the “star-spangled banner.”

The flag of the United States of America is also called the Star-Spangled Banner or Stars and Stripes. It consists of seven red and six white stripes, representing the 13 founding states, and a blue flag field in the upper left corner, whose 50 white stars currently symbolize the 50 states of the USA.
