FIDO – the patch

In the US military, “FIDO” can refer to “Fog Investigation and Dispersal Operation,” a system from World War II that used gasoline burners to disperse fog from runways, ultimately saving many aircraft crews.

More likely, however, is harsh military slang. The candid abbreviation stands for “F**k It, Drive On.”
