Sweat saves blood – the patch

Training is half the battle; the other half is hard work. For military personnel, the saying is “sweat saves blood.”

In other words, practicing, tackling, doing, preparing, and investing your energy before things get serious makes everything easier and better. When the going gets tough, it's too late.

Incidentally, this soldier's motto is not new; the experience it draws on dates back at least to the First World War.

With that in mind, our tip is: learn and practice well.
