What is a stock stop for the AR15? This small part allows you to extend your sliding stock – the AR15 stock tube – only to a certain point. This allows you to mark your favorite position and avoid having to constantly count the notches.
Very practical when you need to do something quickly. Simply take the gun out of the case, extend the stock until it touches the stock stop, and you'll have your preferred length.
Installation is simple. Simply remove the sliding shaft, insert the pole stop with the knob facing the pole tube into the hole behind your desired position. Slide the shaft back on, and that's it.
The stock stop is 3D printed from PLA with 100% infill. A solid lump of plastic, so to speak. We've been using our test model with only 40% infill for several months now and can't detect any significant signs of wear.
For the dimensions, we based it on an IMI Polymer Mil-Spec stock tube. This had the smallest spacing between the individual holes. However, the stock stop works just as well on tubes with wider hole spacing. After extending the stock until it touches the stock stop, it then slides forward a little until the pin clicks into the hole.
